About Me

My passion for fitness began over 2 decades years ago when I became truly sick and tired of not feeling good in my own body. I was overweight for my height, uncomfortable in my body, and mentally drained. The journey from tired and weak to strong and active didn’t happen overnight—but it was a transformation I knew I needed.

In 2003, I hired a personal trainer after realizing the toll my lifestyle was taking on my physical and mental health.
That trainer changed my life. 
He helped me lose weight, but he also taught me the importance of resistance training and all the benefits of  building muscle. My body began to change in ways I never thought possible. I gained strength, confidence, and a new outlook on what fitness could be. From then on, even through the transition and  challenges of motherhood, I made a commitment to investing in my health—not material things. I realized early on that when you feel good in your body, you can look good in anything. And a healthier me led to a happier me.

THE BIRTH OF BODYBYAKUA FITNESS

After over a year of training under a franchise model—with very high prices due to corporate fees—I realized something important: People deserve high-quality fitness training at an affordable rate.

So I created BODYBYAKUA FITNESS LLC, with the mission to help everyday people—especially women—become stronger, healthier, and more confident. This business has truly been life-changing. Helping clients transform their bodies, their mindset, and their habits is one of the greatest joys of my life.

MY FITNESS BELIEFS

I don’t train people to be “skinny.”
I train people to be fit, strong, confident, and empowered.

There are no shortcuts to long-term health and fitness.
I believe in consistency over perfection, and in showing up for yourself even when it’s not easy.

The only way to discover what truly works for YOUR body, is to collect real data and stay committed over time. Progress comes from patience, intention, and honest effort.

Fitness isn’t a chore for me—it’s my lifestyle. My training time is where I refill my own cup so I can keep pouring into others.
